The 28th issue has been curated by Willy Chavarria, Mexican-American designer and founder of his eponymous label.
Ten years since the founding of his eponymous brand, Willy not only recognises the power clothing and dress – and sometimes a bit of spectacle – have as a catalyst to amplify Chicano cultural heritage, language, music, art and religion, but that fashion also is a means to create social change in the fight for equal human rights, not only for Black and Brown people, but also for the working class, for LGBTQ+ people and for other marginalised groups facing bigotry and hatred.
